15TH MEDICAL BATTALION  ASSOCIATION REUNION ACCOUNT

		OMAHA, NE, 20-24 APRIL 2022

By Terry A. McCarl, Historian and Secretary

Quoting Vice President Mark "Doc" Holiday as he ended the fund-raising
auction, which he had just so adeptly conducted on the evening on April
23, 2022, "Ron and Marlene Ingram, you guys know how to throw a helluva
		party!"

The 24th 15th Medical BN Association Reunion
held in Omaha, Nebraska, on  April 20-24, was a roaring fun time
for all who attended, thanks to the efforts of Reunion Coordinators Ron
and Marlene Ingram. Twenty-three 15th Med BN Veterans and 18 guests
		participated in the reunion.

The reunion hotel, Hampton Inn and Suites, received high marks from our
group. The hotel staff was accommodating and helpful. Every morning of
the reunion, the hotel treated attendees to a complementary buffet
breakfast. Also, the hotel provided free shuttle services to and from
tourist attractions within 3 miles of the hotel, and a few destinations,
such as the Omaha Zoo and the Iowa Casinos, that were even farther away.

The Hospitality Room, which also served as the meeting room, was
available throughout the reunion for socializing.

		WEDNESDAY, 20 APRIL

Attendees began rolling in on Wed. afternoon and evening. Several
members got together at "Hook and Lime," a Mexican/Seafood restaurant
near the hotel, for dinner on Wednesday evening.

		THURSDAY, 21 APRIL

Thursday afternoon  was the tour of Omaha on "Ollie the Trollie."
Thursday evening's group dinner was at Rocco's Pizza and Cantina near
		the hotel.

		FRIDAY, 22 APRIL

Friday morning was the Executive Committee
Meeting and in the afternoon was the Great 15th Med BN Assn Paper
Airplane Competition. John Tabor won the competition with a plane that
flew the length of the hospitality room and hit the far wall. The
evening group dinner was at the Spaghetti Works in the Old Market area
		of downtown Omaha.

		SATURDAY, 23 APRIL

Saturday morning was the Member Business. Twenty-one members attended
the meeting. President Barry Brown called the Business Meeting to order
		at 9:00 AM.

Highlights of the Member Business  Meeting are summarized here. To
read the entire record of the meeting, please see the Member Business
		Meeting Minutes.

President Brown welcomed all members and
guests to the reunion and introduced 1st-time attendees Joseph "Jay" and
Victoria Zygmont. Jay served as a  medical lab specialist at HSC
		from 1968-69.

Leo Williams read the names of the 45 15th
Med BN KIA's during the Vietnam War.

passed away since the 2019 reunion: Damien Vierra, Bobby Brooks, John
Crespi, Bob McKinley, Richard Schroder, Quinn Becker, Sherry Bodwell,
		Betty Korty, and Connie Medlock.
